Summarises the English Heritage and NHS Estates publication "Historic Buildings and the Health Service", looking at the conservation of redundant historic hospitals by finding alternative uses for them. It is estimated that over the next ten years 120 large historic hospital sites are likely to become surplus stock, at a time when other sectors of the property market are also shedding buildings.
