"Safe Haven Investments Inc v Springbok Ltd" ChD 18 May 1995. The plaintiff purchasers paid a deposit for the purchase of the leasehold interest of a property. The contract was not completed. The purchaser purported to rescind the contract and sued for the recovery of the deposit and damages for misrepresentation. Both parties claimed repudiation. Held that the deposit could be forfeited.
