ChD 7 February 1994. An application under Landlord and Tenant Act 1987 Part III for an acquisition order by tenants (G) holding long leases of flats in a converted Georgian building. Several changes of freehold owners had occured; none were registered; accordingly S remained the registered proprietor. Since 1980 there had been no active management. In 1984 a receiver was appointed. G served notice under LTA 1987 s27 alleging breach of covenants to repair, maintain, insure and manage the premises. Held, an acquisition order was granted.
