The River Thames could be revitalised in a £50m project to relieve commuter traffic jams and overcrowded trains. Developers plan to turn it into a rapid transport route with a fleet of " hover-catamarans ". Passengers will be offered aircraft-style comfort and services at speeds of up to 60mph.
