The Government has welcomed the recommendations of the Review of housing co-operatives in England that co-operatives and other forms of tenant-led initiatives should be expanded, as supporting its view that tenants should have a choice of landlord. It also proposes that local authorities will be required to publish performance indicators, to enable tenants to judge how they manage their housing stock.
