Consent survives sub-lease expiry - 1989 - Times 30/6/89 p31 .

In Wates Estate Agency Services Ltd v Bartleys Ltd CA 20 June 1989 it was held that a landlord`s consent to a change of use for business premises contained in a formal licence attached to a sub-lease , continued to apply after the sub-lease had expired.
