In Whitbread West Pennines Ltd v Reedy , CA 22 July 1988, it was held that where the manager of a public house who was required, in accordance with provisions in his contract of employment, to live in residential accommodation at the public house was dismissed, his employers were entitled to an order for possession of the residential accommodation notwithstanding the manager`s complaint to an industrial tribunal of unfair dismissal and application for the reinstatement.
