Costing building maintenance
Hague, D.
Costing building maintenance - 1987 - Building Technology & Management 25(4) August/September 1987, 28-30(3) .
A paper which argues that by compiling a structured language for building maintenance jobs, an effective database of cost information can be set up which will improve both cost planning and estimating for small firms. Includes details of how to set about compiling a readily accessible bank of times for building repairs, and concludes that maintenance is not infinitely variable and a practical database of activity output times can be achieved. Thus small building firms will no longer need to rely on published schedules, but can collect a library of jobs and times involved to their own needs.
