"R v Oldham MBC, ex parte G; R v Bexley LBC, ex parte B; R v Tower Hamlets LBC, ex parte Ferdus Begum" HL 18 March 1993. Councils owed no duty to house dependent children, since they were not included in Housing Act 1985 s59 as in priority need. Those caring for the children in these cases had already been refused accommodation. In the case of a disabled adult unable to make an application for housing, it was held that the council did not have a duty under the Act.
