"Royal Life Insurance Ltd v SoS for the Environment and another" QBD 14 July 1992. The plaintiff sought to quash a compulsory purchase order for land to be developed by the Bristol Development Corporation because the SoS had not considered the inspector`s caveat that the financial viability of the scheme was in doubt. The application was refused; there was no reference to financial viability in Local Government (Planning and Land) Act 1980.
