Applicant is put through the mill in land access case

Redler, A.

Applicant is put through the mill in land access case - 1995 - Property Week 53(8) 23 November 1995, 26-27(2) .

Considers the case of "Coulton v Pickles", a dispute over compensation for access to erect scaffolding on neighbouring land to repair a rear wall. The fact that the rear wall belonged to a property that had once been a mill meant that the issue of consideration applied and the neighbours had the right to demand money for inconvenience.
