In BBMB Finance (Hong Kong) Ltd v Eda Holdings Ltd and others Privy Council 6 February 1990 it was held that a plaintiff whose property was irreversibly converted had vested in him a right to damages for conversion measured by the value of the property at the date of the conversion.
