The Housing Minister has launched the Leasehold Enfranchisement Advisory Service offering free advice to flat owners on rights laid down in the Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993. The service will run for three years initially. The RICS, Council of Mortgage Lenders and individual building societies are making a financial contribution to the scheme.
