In "Scottish Amicable Life Assurance Society v Middleton and others" ChD 7 February 1944 held that rent-free periods referred to concessionary periods for fitting out of premises. Valuer to make adjustment to eliminate effect on rent of tenant`s need to give similiar rent-free period to sub-tenant.
