Provisions introduced by the Law of Property (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1989 s2, has instigated much litigation. Looks at a contract variation in "McCausland v Duncan Lawrie Ltd" [1997] 1 WLR 38. Also covers enforceable but unregistered contracts in "Lloyds Bank plc v Carrick" [1996] 4 All ER 630.
