In March 1993, P sought written confirmation for specified works to commence in April. P gave consent `subject to licence`. In September 1994, P served a notice under the Law of Property Act 1925 s46 alleging work carried out without consent. High Court judge "held" letter of May 1993 constituted written consent. P appealed. Appeal dismissed.
