The HL has reversed a CA decision forcing tenants to maintain stay-open clauses in leases centred around a Safeway store in the Hillsborough Shopping centre. A second HL ruling "Mannai v Eagle Star" confirmed a break clause issued by the tenant to be valid. (A summary note from solicitor Titmuss Sainer Dechert attached)
