High Court adds to retail uncertainty

Dacorum BC`s attempts to halt an out-of-centre Tesco store have collapsed in the High Court. The judge vindicated the decision of the inspector that the site was suitable for the store. But Dacorum described the decision as `astounding` in the light of PPG6 which promotes town centre retailing and it adds to confusion over the sequential test.
