"Hackney LBC v Mott and Fairman" QBD 8 June 1994. The ratepayers were not informed within the proper time period of an alteration to the valuation list and they claimed the entry in the list was invalid. H sought a liability order. In deciding the issue of the liability order, the magistrate had no jurisdiction to determine validity of an entry in the non-domestic rating list.
