The European Commission has provisionally approved the modified lease agreement under which Inntrepreneur sells beer to the majority of its tenants. The agreement for Scottish & Newcastle to supply Inntrepreneur with beer expires on 28 March 1998. Scottish & Newcastle dismisses fears that it will lose substantial beer sales when its contract with Inntrepreneur expires. The minority of Inntrepreneurs` tenants continue to challenge the terms of the original agreement.
