A tenant who has served a notice under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 on a landlord who had been superseded and replaced under a privatisation scheme is held to have served it on that landlord as agent of the successor. Having served a valid notice and not pursued it, the tenant is unable to serve a fresh notice. NB NOT TO BE PHOTOCOPIED.
