CA 31 July 1997. Building owner L granted a license to Q for short term housing purposes. Q later granted a weekly license to B to occupy part of the accommodation. B brought proceedings against Q for breach of implied covenant to keep the premises in repair. B`s appeal against the earlier finding that he was only a licensee, contending inter alia that a tenancy could be created by estoppel even when the grantor has no interest in the land, was dismissed.
