"UCB Bank plc v David J Pinder plc and another" OR 2 December 1997. Bank made loan based on defendant`s valuation of business. Bank`s title to security found to be defective. Bank claimed damages for negligent valuation. Valuers seeking contribution from solicitors acting for bank in conveyance of security. Question whether valuation negligent and whether bank had contributed to the negligence. Held: Judgment for the bank for £366,250. Third party claim was dismissed.
