The effects of land policy: quantity as well as quality is important

Needham, B.

The effects of land policy: quantity as well as quality is important - 1998 - Urban Studies 35(1) January 1998, 25-44(20) .

Compares land policy in Israel and the Netherlands combining the Ricardian theory of land price and the stock adjustment model to relate land policy to housing production. The key variable in this relationship is the type of land development process that dominates in a country. Whether this process is carried out by a private or public body can affect the volume of production, and hence the price, of housing. References. (Based on journal abstract).
