QBD 27 February 1997. An enforcement notice was served on the applicant requiring removal of a log cabin from land on which it was situated. The enforcement notice was served on the basis that the cabin was to be treated as a caravan within the meaning of the Town and Country Planning Act and, as such, using the land for the stationing of the cabin was considered to be the development. The applicant appealed and the appeal was dismissed by the inspector who decided that the cabin was not a caravan but a structure which involved building on the land. The applicant appealed to the high court. Held, application dismissed.
