In the UK retail rents at review are traditionally assessed by the comparative method primarily using open market, rent review and lease renewal rental evidence. Reorganising that method has limitations, this paper reviews various computer-assisted methods and evaluates the strengths, weaknesses and appropriateness of various automated approaches. Selects the case-based reasoning approach as a means of objectively selecting and weighting comparable evidence for the determination of retail rents at review. References.
