"Brophy and another v Dunphys" CA 2 March 1998. B claimed D had carried out a negligent valuation on their home and sought damages. B filled in an N2 form at the County Court to start proceedings and D denied the reasons given for the claim, stating it was too general. Hearing adjourned to give B an opportunity to prepare their case against an application to strike out. D`s application to strike out the claim was dismissed and they appealed. Appeal dismissed.
