In Wyndham Investments Ltd v Motorway Tyres and Accessories Ltd CA 28 January 1991, it was held that the words in the periodic rent review clause meant the RPI figure immediately before the review date and therefore, there was no reason to use the original base date under the RPI current at the date of the lease.
