Government housebuilding policy has been successfully challenged by two recent decisions. Hertfordshire County Council voted unanimously to withdraw support for building 10,000 homes on greenbelt land and Lewes District Council in Sussex won a High Court ruling against the SoS decision to allow 113 houses on greenfield land near Peacehaven.
