Brief note prepared by the Standards Committee of the NZ Institute of Valuers as an introduction to the Due Diligence procedures which should be considered by the parties prior to entering into a contractual obligation to acquire an interest in real estate. It draws upon Guidance Note GN LE1 dated 1/96 Due Diligence Guidelines from the Australian Institute of Valuers and Land Economists.
