In Electricity Supply Nominees Ltd v Longstaff and Shaw Ltd and Another CA 27 November 1986 the judge allowed an appeal against the decision of an official referee who had struck out a claim by ESN over the alleged inadequate supply and installation of air conditioning in a building.
