A group of Scottish-based chartered surveyors have launched a scheme to protect homebuyers when they have a dispute with a chartered surveyor. Under the scheme, any homebuyer who discovers a defect in his property which was not detected at the time of purchase will be covered for the cost of repairs up to £250,000.
