The Environment Minister, Michael Meacher, has promised Government action to guarantee a right to roam, following the lack of progress made by landowners on a voluntary basis. The Country Landowners` Association are facing accusations that their list of sites open to the public is misleading since it contains land which is accessible only on payment of a fee.
