QBD 3 April 1998. An application by W for planning permission for a two-storey house was dismissed on grounds that it would have an undesirable effect on local residential amenity. W claimed that this decision was based on loss to purely private views from neighbouring dwellings, and not the wider concern of land use for public interest. W`s appeal dismissed.
