English Heritage to be scrapped

English Heritage to be scrapped - 1998 - Independent on Sunday 18 October 1998, 4(1) .

Following a review of the functions of quangos dealing with arts, culture and heritage, it is anticipated that English Heritage will be merged with the Royal Commission of the Historical Monuments of England to form a new, streamlined body dealing with the listing and conservation of historic buildings and sites.
