CA 9 July 1998. W advanced a loan to a motgagor in three tranches. S provided valuations for each tranche. In the case of the last tranche W claimed that S provided negligent valuation. This was allowed in the court below, less a deduction of 20 per cent for contributory negligence. W and S appealed and cross-appealed respectively. Both actions dismissed.
