QBD 20 January 1998. O was convicted in the Magistrates Court for displaying an advertisement in contravention with regulations. O gave notice that he intended to appeal to the High Court. Meanwhile, he was further convicted of continuing to display the advertisement. O appealed against this conviction on grounds that it could not be made when he did not yet stand convicted of the first offence as the outcome in the HC had not yet been heard. "Held" appeal dismissed.
