"Clonard Developments Ltd v Humberts (a firm)" CA 15 January 1999. C obtained two valuations of a site - undeveloped and with cottages on it. C unable to sell properties once built and claimed H`s valuation was negligent. Judge found that C didn`t rely on H`s valuation when proceeding with the purchase and therefore was only entitled to nominal damages. C appealed. Appeal dismissed.
