The HL has upheld the right to protest peacefully and to take part in demonstrations on the public highway that do not obstruct other road users. Two protesters taking part in a peaceful protest at Stonehenge had their appeal against their charge of `trespassory assembly` under the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 upheld.
