Councils to rule on listed consent - 1999 - Planning (for the Natural and Built Environment) 5 March 1999, 3(1) .

London's local authorities are to have greater responsibility for deciding listed building consent applications under government proposals to speed up the planning process. At present boroughs can refuse, but not approve, applications independently of English Heritage.
