DTZ Debenham Thorpe's report Overseas investment in UK commercial property shows that foreign investors accounted for a sixth of all direct property purchases by value in the UK last year, at £3.2bn. This is down on 1997's record £4.5bn. US buyers have now overtaken German investors. Sales by foreigners increased by 20% to £2.1bn. Charts.
