The Joseph Rowntree Foundation's inquiry, Inclusive housing: the role of low-cost home ownership calls for current social housing arrangements to be relaxed to allow more mixed tenure developments, the nature and balance of which should be decided at a local level. It also suggests an 'affordable housing unified grant' (AHUG) to replace existing funding.
