Prime contracting can save 12%

Prime contracting can save 12% - 1999 - Building 264 (8077) 5 March 1999, 10(1) .

The MOD believes it can save 12% in costs over a building's first 35 years through 'prime' contracting which centralises contracts through one contractor. There are two pilot projects involving Amec and Laing.
