A conference addressed by the Minister for Construction, and Sir John Egan, chairman of the Construction Task Force gave the message that government is determined to revitalise the UK construction industry by providing a consistent client approach across the public sector. Initiatives by the DETR, Treasury and the MOD aim to reduce tendering in favour of partnering.
