CA 11 June 1998. When considering the grant of a certificate of appropriate alternative development under the Land Compensation Act 1961 s 17 (14), the relevant date at which the decision had to be made was the date of the publication of the notice of the compulsory purchase order, discounting only that acquisition and the proposal underlying it as it stood on the date of the notice, which could be conveniently expressed as a decision on the basis that the proposal had been cancelled on the date of that notice.
