The Confederation of Construction Specialists (CCS) is developing a credit rating service that will monitor the payment performance of main contractors. There will be two ratings. One will be a record of the elapsed time between the specialist submitting valuations to a contractor for payment, and actually receiving payment. The other will track the difference between the original subcontract sum and the final account, pinpointing contractors who consistently force specialists to accept less than full payment.
