"Penn v Bristol and West Building Society and others" ChD 22 May 1995. Held that the beneficial joint tenancy of the husband and wife was not severed by a conveyance of the property, which was a sham, set up by the husband to defraud the building society. Solicitors owed the wife a duty of care and were liable to the mortgage lenders.
