Clickex Ltd v McCann CA 14 May 1999. Landlord (C) served notice of assured shorthold tenancy under Housing Act 1988 s20. Both parties signed a tenancy agreement. Tenant (M) moved in later than expected and C changed dates on tenancy agreement. C sought possession and M resisted claiming tenancy assured and not assured shorthold. Judge held s20 notice valid. M appealed. Appeal allowed.
