Cottrell & Vermeulen has redesigned the traditional prefabricated school building to make them more 'stylish' and 'child-friendly.' The first nursery built using the design module won a Civic Trust Award and the concept has been chosen as a Millennium Product. Prefabrication in the housing sector is also making a comeback. The construction industry urged by government to keep costs down while raising standards, sees prefabrication as a solution.
