According to FPD Savills land owners letting out agricultural land just broke even on their investment last year, with returns totalling 0.3% over the year. With an earlier fall in vacant possession farmland values, and the pressure on farm incomes, the figures confirm the end of the 1992 to 1997 bull run for agricultural investment land.
